Playboy is looking to expand the celebrities with whom they collaborate. So far their biggest celebrity has been Cardi B. Kendrick Lamar dropped an album on May 13, 2022, called Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers, after a five-year hiatus. Kendrick has a big enough fan base that just releasing it was enough press, but having a clothing brand that has a similar following would bring even more press and revenue growth for both. Kendrick doesn't have a lot of official merchandise, with a total of nine collections being tour merchandise, so his fans would be quick to buy items from this collection
